Notes:

Was supposed to assist with a private class today, but the plans changed at the last minute after I was already waiting at the dive site, so I decided to not waste the day and chose to do a Solo Dive instead.

Visibility was not that good today, but I saw a lot of various fish and several moray eels on the dive. I did see one small White Tipped Reef Shark sleeping under an overhang way around the right side of Sharks Cove.

Notes:

First dive of Diver Propulsion Vehicle Specialty course. Went over required DPV skills while doing a tour of Kaiser Reef. Saw a White Tipped Reef Shark sleeping under a coral ledge, a couple large moray eels and a few small ones. First time diving this location, I like it a lot for a shallow dive. Great location to run the DPV’s.

Notes:

3 White Tipped Reef Sharks were sleeping as usual underneath the LCU wreck, all looked healthy except for the weighted fishing hook in one of their mouths. He doesn’t seem to notice. They became more active when we entered the LCU and began swimming around us and following us around the dive site.

Deep Diver Specialty dive #4. The 2  White Tipped Reef Sharks were sleeping underneath the LCU again today but they had company, a third 6′ White Tipped Reef Shark had joined them for a nap. They all looked healthy, one still has the weighted fish hook in his mouth.

Deep Diver Specialty dive. Saw 2  White Tipped Reef Sharks sleeping underneath the LCU today. Unfortunately one has a weighted fishing hook suck in his mouth making his mouth sag to one side. They both look healthy though despite the fishing hook.

For our second dive today we did a shore dive at Tech Reef.  It is a bot of a file with all the gear, so I doubt if I will do it again. Saw several baby Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles, and several baby white tipped reef sharks.

Sea was very calm today so for our second dive we did a drift dive off the coast of Rabbit Island, off the southeast corner of Oahu. Lots of different fish, moray eels, a white tipped reef shark, and an octopus.

The currents were very strong today so we did a drift dive across 3 different wrecks, the Baby Barge, New Barge, and the LCU landing craft. Saw several white tipped reef sharks, and white spotted eagle rays.
